Saturday, April 14 | 19:00 HOLD ME
Director: Lucia Rikaki • Greece 2005, 90 minutes.
HOLD ME, directed by Lucia Rikaki, was conceived on the Internet and developed gradually into a multi-genre, pseudo-documentary fairy tale. The story of a woman from a broken home, Julie searches for tenderness in her life, and finds nothing but mistrust and fear. At age 33, Julie, now a radio presenter, creates a website inviting people to share stories of loss. As people respond, Julie begins meeting them, and enters a world of emotions and dreams. The film uses real stories narrated by real people to set the stage for Julie’s continuing search for love and meaning. English sub-titles.
