The �Green Award� is like an
�Oscar� for environmental cinema and one of the
many initiatives of EFFN. The Prize is given to
one of the films awarded in the last edition of
the festivals related to the network.
At present, there are five
festivals and five films.
The jury is made
up of the festival directors and the members of
the board of directors of EFFN. The first
edition of the �Green Award� prize-giving was
carried out in 2006 in the city of Goi�s,
Brazil, during the 8th edition of the FICA
Festival. In 2007, the venue city was Torino,
Italy, during the 10th edition of Cinemambiente.
In June 2008, the
3rd edition of the EFFN GREEN AWARD was given
within the framework of the 15th International
Environmental Film Festival of Barcelona, Spain.
This year,
Rodos Ecofilms, is hosting the forth ceremony
and awards with pleasure the Green Award to the
Film
�Encounters at the End
of the World� by Werner Herzog.
